Watford Colosseum is Watford’s home of entertainment boasting some of the best live music, comedy and other entertainment outside Central London. Elton John, Rod Stewart, One Direction and Jimmy Carr are just a few big names that have starred on our stage. Watford Colosseum is also home to the BBC Concert Orchestra and has been used to record the soundtracks of films including Lord of the Rings, The Sound of Music and Star Wars.

Types of Roles
Providing an innovative dining, drinking and conference facilities with theatrical flair requires a range of talented chefs and friendly servers over a range of levels and employment types.
The approachable Ticket Office team provide excellent customer service while proactively selling tickets in this customer-facing role offering fun and flexibility.
Often the hidden function of a theatre, these heroes make the show happen from assisting with the ‘get-in’ to managing the sound and lighting.
The marketing and promotions teams ensure our customers know about the broad-range of incredible events within the venues' many spaces in this busy but exciting department.
Administration and Management
Off the stage a gifted group of administrators, finance and management teams ensure the venues run smoothly.
Bar & Hospitality Staff
We are looking for the following highly motivated and expe rienced individuals to join our team.
You will be able to work a variety of shifts, have good customer service skills and be able to work as part of a fun team. Previous bar/events experience is preferred. Over 18's only.
Hours will include evening and weekend work. Double time pay on certain shifts

As a Watford Colosseum Volunteer Usher you’ll be the face of the theatre, meeting and greeting our guests and ensuring that they have a fantastic experience when they visit us. We’ll train, guide and support you so that you can volunteer for us with knowledge and confidence. We know that everyone has commitments in their lives, so we’re flexible about when you volunteer.

Meet the team
We’re committed to training and developing our staff, preparing them for their next step in whichever direction that might be. Here’s the proof.
Kathryn joined the Colosseum team as a Casual Ticketing Assistant in January 2014 before being promoted to Senior Ticketing Assistant in May of the same year. In December 2015, Kathryn switched departments to undertake the role of Marketing Assistant where she currently works in our busy marketing office.
Kath says: “There’s never a dull day here… One minute we’re promoting Peppa Pig, the next we are preparing for a huge sell-out Paul Weller concert! As a team, who genuinely love the arts, we work together to bring entertainment to Watford, from putting an event on sale, to bringing down the house lights and starting the show months later… as cliché as it sounds, the people here are like a second family and they make the everyday feel a lot less like work!”
Karl started his Colosseum career in June 2011 as a Casual Ticketing Assistant. He was then offered a permanent position in December 2011, promoted to Ticketing Supervisor in November 2012 and then in April 2014, he took on his current role of Ticketing Manager, overseeing the daily Ticket Office operation in the building.
Karl says: “I’ve always enjoyed working at the Colosseum. The variety of different events we offer makes sure you’re always on your toes and that no two days are ever the same. More than anything though, it’s the people that make it such a great place to work. We have a fantastic team of dedicated individuals who are the heart and soul of the venue and give their all to make it a success.”
